Refund Policy

Paid terms apply from the introduction of payments (effective date separately announced) · Payments and reward coupons are unavailable during beta. The paid-service provisions below apply when you use paid features.

1. Scope

ELDO is currently in closed beta. New paid subscriptions and individual report purchases are unavailable. A free trial does not automatically convert to a paid subscription or trigger a charge when it ends. The paid-service provisions below do not mean payment features are currently available. Final terms will be disclosed and separately accepted before paid features are offered.

This policy sets out cooling-off, cancellation and refund rules for ELDO paid plan subscriptions, and the rules for reward coupons. Paid sales have not started, and payment and reward-coupon features are unavailable. A free trial has no payment to refund.

Before a paid purchase, we disclose the tax-inclusive price in the billing currency, the billing cycle, auto-renewal, delivery start and refund terms and obtain separate consent. This policy does not limit statutory rights.

Refunds, plan-period extensions, automatic refunds and coupon handling that the Company sets out in Sections 2–10 and in the Terms of Service (the “Company’s additional benefits”) are provided by the Company on its own, separately from Paddle’s Refund Policy. The Company’s additional benefits do not restrict a refund request under Paddle’s Refund Policy or change its requirements, time limits or amount, and you may still request a refund under Paddle’s Refund Policy even where a Company additional benefit does not apply. Paddle decides whether and how much to refund under Paddle’s Refund Policy; submitting a request does not guarantee approval.

2. Account Closure, Renewal Stop, Immediate Cancellation and Refund

  • Account closure ends the account relationship. Remaining refund rights and unused reward coupons are handled under section 9.
  • Stopping renewal prevents the next payment. Access continues until the paid period ends; this choice alone does not produce a refund.
  • Immediate cancellation ends a time-based subscription when a valid request is received. On immediate cancellation, the Company refunds the unprovided period proportionally under Section 6 as a Company additional benefit.
  • Cooling-off or a refund returns all or part of a payment under applicable law, Paddle’s Refund Policy or the Company’s additional benefits.

3. Statutory Cooling-off

Under Korea's E-Commerce Act, the usual period is 7 days from receipt of the written contract terms, or delivery commencement if later. Statutory exceptions for missing documents or obstruction and separate nonconformity rights remain available. Written withdrawal takes effect when sent.

Digital-content restrictions depend on the statutory exceptions and required disclosure and trial-access measures. Signing in alone does not count as use. Unprovided divisible portions and other mandatory rights remain protected.

4. Paddle Transactions and Refund Rules

Where Paddle processes a transaction as the Merchant of Record, Paddle’s Refund Policy applies in full. No additional conditions, exceptions or refund windows elsewhere in this Policy apply to that transaction. Buyers may submit refund requests directly to Paddle.

You may also ask for help through the contact in Section 8. This update does not remove accrued legal rights for existing transactions.

5. Refund Amount, Method, Coupon Restoration and Automatic Refunds

You are charged exactly the tax-inclusive amount shown on the checkout review screen (except where tax is exempted with a business tax ID, as described below), and receipts and invoices are issued by Paddle as the seller. Refunds under the Company’s additional benefits are calculated on the tax-inclusive amount actually paid in the billing currency (KRW, JPY or USD). Card-provider exchange rates or fees may change the amount shown on your card statement. Report display currency does not affect the billing currency.

Refunds are made through Paddle to the original payment method. The discount from a reward coupon is not an amount you paid and is not refunded as cash. Where a refund under Paddle’s Refund Policy and a refund under the Company’s additional benefits overlap for the same payment, the amount already refunded under Paddle’s Refund Policy is deducted from the refund under the Company’s additional benefits. The refund under Paddle’s Refund Policy is never reduced.

If a payment that used a reward coupon is refunded in full, the coupon is returned with its original expiry; if that expiry has already passed, it stays expired. A partial refund does not return the coupon. A refund never issues a new coupon or extends an expiry. Whether a coupon is restored does not affect whether or how much you are refunded.

For a USD 30 monthly subscription paid as USD 24 with a 20% reward coupon, a full refund returns USD 24 and restores the coupon. Immediate cancellation with half of the term unprovided returns USD 12 as a Company additional benefit (Section 6) and does not restore the coupon.

If the billing country or currency is changed in the checkout so that the payment differs from the order you confirmed, the Company grants no access and refunds the payment in full automatically through Paddle. For a payment completed after the payment session expired, access is granted once only if that order is your most recent order, there is no newer order or duplicate subscription, the amount, currency and product match the order and the payment is the latest one for that order; otherwise it is refunded in full automatically. For a payment on which only the tax was exempted because a valid business tax ID was entered in the checkout, access is granted when everything else matches the order, and the receipt shows the amount actually charged and the reason for the exemption. These automatic refunds are Company additional benefits; a payment for which access was granted can still be refunded on request under Paddle’s Refund Policy.

Statutory refunds for services or digital content are processed within 3 business days of withdrawal, with statutory delay compensation where due. Payment-provider posting delays or support-response targets do not extend that deadline. For voluntary refunds, we communicate receipt, review and payment-method processing status.

6. Subscription Cancellation, Renewal and Plan Changes

You may request immediate cancellation of a time-based subscription at any time. On immediate cancellation, the Company, as a Company additional benefit, refunds the unprovided part of the contract period proportionally, measured from receipt of a valid request using UTC times. Our processing delay is not deducted as additional usage. This proportional refund does not replace or limit any refund under Paddle’s Refund Policy.

Stopping renewal alone retains the current paid period. Auto-renewal requires separate consent before payment and advance notice of its date, amount and cancellation method. Starting a free trial never by itself authorizes conversion to paid service or a charge. A renewal price increase for an existing subscription follows the notice and consent process in Article 10 of the Terms of Service; if you do not consent or do not respond, the subscription ends at the end of the current period without any additional charge.

A change to a higher plan takes effect immediately after you confirm the difference in price and terms and complete payment. Changes to a lower plan and monthly/annual cycle changes apply at the next renewal; immediate cancellation and refund remain separate choices. The billing currency cannot be changed during a subscription; to change it, cancel the current subscription and subscribe again.

You choose on the checkout review screen whether to use a reward coupon; none is applied unless you select one. You may designate one coupon for your next recurring payment and change that choice until 24 hours before the payment, after which the designated coupon is applied. If the designated coupon cannot be used at payment time (expired, revoked or still in its waiting period), no coupon is applied and the price for that renewal is charged. Coupons cannot be used on the difference for a change to a higher plan.

7. Referral Reward Coupons

A referral code can be entered on the checkout review screen before a subscription payment; a member who has completed any subscription payment cannot newly enter or retroactively register a referral code. When a subscription payment made with a referral code is completed, the referrer and that member each immediately receive one 20% reward coupon and are notified on the Service. The referral reward is issued only once per member.

A coupon is visible as soon as it is issued but can be used only after a 14-day waiting period from the payment that triggered it. If that payment is refunded in full during the waiting period, the unused coupons issued to both members for that referral are revoked, and revoked coupons are not revived by any later refund. The waiting period is a coupon rule, not a refund window.

A coupon is valid for 12 months from issuance. The discount is 20% of the price actually charged for that payment (the launch price during the launch-price period); one coupon can be used per payment and cannot be combined with any other discount, on monthly subscription payments (new and renewals). A coupon discounts only the one payment it is applied to; later payments return to the regular price. The coupon screen shows the discount rate, the date from which it can be used, the expiry date and the forfeiture conditions, and you are notified once on the Service 30 days before expiry.

The same referral reward coupon is given to a member only once and is not given again after a refund of a payment, account closure or re-registration. Self-referral, mutual referral and proven duplicate or abusive participation are excluded from coupon issuance; family, employer, IP address, device or refund count alone do not trigger blanket exclusion.

If new issuance under the program stops, coupons already issued remain usable until their original expiry. Coupons cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred, and unused coupons are forfeited on account closure. The coupon issuance, use, revocation and forfeiture rules in this Section 7 do not affect whether or how much any payment is refunded.

8. Requests and Support

Send cooling-off, cancellation and refund requests to dev_virgo@the-greta.com. Include your signup email and order information for verification. If the email is unavailable or the account has been closed, we provide alternative verification; re-registration is not required for a cash refund.

We acknowledge requests and communicate progress, aiming for an initial reply within 1 business day. This is not a completion deadline or a substitute for statutory refund deadlines. You may request a review through the same channel; Korean users may also contact consumer dispute bodies such as the Korea Consumer Agency.

9. Rights and Records After Account Closure

You may close your account at any time. An active paid subscription is cancelled immediately on closure, and the Company pays the proportional refund in Section 6 as a Company additional benefit. Regardless of closure, you may also request a refund under Paddle’s Refund Policy. If a payment or refund is still being processed, please request closure again after that processing finishes. If you still cannot close your account after some time, please let us know at dev_virgo@the-greta.com; we will tell you the outcome within 10 days. Refunds continue to completion after closure without re-registration. Unused reward coupons are forfeited on account closure and are not restored even if you sign up again with the same email.

For paid transactions subject to applicable retention law, contract/cooling-off and payment/supply records are retained separately for 5 years, and consumer complaint/dispute records for 3 years, for those purposes only. These periods do not apply indiscriminately to all personal or referral data. Other retention and destruction follow the Privacy Policy.

10. Outages and Disputes

Where the Company fails to provide service for a period due to its own fault, the fee for that period is refunded or access is extended as a Company additional benefit without requiring your request. The compensation standards are set out in Article 11 of the Terms of Service and refunds when the service ends in Article 6; this compensation does not reduce any refund under Paddle’s Refund Policy.

Payment or coupon lookup errors prompt a retry. When you pay from the checkout review screen, you are charged only the amount you confirmed there, even if a coupon lookup fails.

A refund request alone does not forfeit coupons or trigger an additional charge; coupon revocation follows Section 7. Proven abuse and payment disputes are reviewed separately within the affected transactions and rights, with an opportunity to respond. Coupon investigations do not delay statutory cash refunds.
